Wow! It’s a new year! I’m praying that you all have had a safe and healthy entrance into 2023. I am truly grateful for a new year, and hope that you are looking forward to all of the miracles, mercy, grace, and prosperity that God has in store for us this year!
I know that each year brings different trials and tribulations for us all. Some feel like too much to handle. Some of us have a tendency to dwell on past hardships, issues, etc. But as we prepare for new expectations, habits, change, and what we want in this new year, I want to remind you (in my own words) of what God says in His word about the “new”.
God says that He is making all things new. (Revelation 21:5)
Forget about the old things! He is doing a new thing in your life, don’t you see that? He will make a way for you even in the wilderness. (Isaiah 43: 18-19)
If you are a believer, you are a new creation. The old has passed away and the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
If you feel like you have a hardened heart (regardless of why), He will give you a new heart and a new spirit. (Ezekiel 36:26)
If you feel confused about the plans for your life, God has a plan for you! They are plans for good and not evil, for a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
What a blessing to serve a God who has a plan for us and who has the power to make all things NEW for us right now! He renews our mind, bodies, spirit, thoughts, our heart posture….literally whatever we need as long as we call on Him and cultivate a relationship with Him! What a gift!
As you continue in this month with your new pledges to yourself, remember to put God first, and everything will fall into place. He knows exactly what you need, exactly what you want, and He’s ready and waiting for you to cultivate a NEW and Fresh relationship with Him.
